Memory PLUS Volunteer:

Silver Threads Service is looking for a volunteer to assist the facilitator of Memory PLUS (Practice, Laughter, Useful Strategies) – a program designed for individuals to learn tools and specific strategies to help improve brain function and memory.

Duties include: Supporting facilitator with activities, maintaining program flow, helping to set-up and clean-up the program and refreshment areas.

Days: Fridays, 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Volunteer Computer Instructors for Seniors:

The Victoria Computer Club, now in partnership with Silver Threads Service, is looking for qualified volunteer computer instructors with expertise in: Windows 10, Android Devices such as cellphones & tablets, Chromebooks, Microsoft apps & programs, Google apps & programs. This is a perfect position for those retired and looking to pass on what they know about computers.

Duties include: Teaching seniors (55+) in any of the above topics. Teaching experience in front of 15-25 person classes is an asset, but training will be provided.

Days:
Mondays or Thursdays, 10:00am—12:00pm
Saturdays 9:30am – 11:30am
