Beginning in January 2026, the Saanich Centre will host STUDIO 55, a creative space dedicated to fostering art, community, and connection. The facility is designed to promote creativity and inclusivity, providing artists and makers with a dedicated environment to create, collaborate, and develop their practices.
It is a welcoming, permanent art studio space accommodating up to 11 artists offering a self-directed environment that encourages free expression.
The benefits are:
Permanent secured storage and open workspace
Flexible hours, Monthly space rental
Future opportunities for art sales online, workshops, classes, community projects and mentoring
Hours of Operation:
Mondays to Fridays 9:00am to 3:30pm
Fee: $125 per month on an annual contract. Call for more information 250 382-3151.

At the Holiday Showcase the Jubilee Clarinet Choir performed with singer Marielle Ferris, whose Aunt Caroline is one of the musicians. It was a lovely performance! The Choir practices on Friday afternoons at the Saanich Centre, it is a self-directed group that welcomes new members.

Today’s treat from our Holiday Showcase features Ukulele under the leadership of Molly Raher Newman and with the talents of some Intermediate students!
Starting in January Molly will be teaching Intermediate classes at the Saanich Centre on Wednesday mornings. While Beginner and Beginner Continuing are offered Friday afternoons at the Victoria Centre with Wendy Pritchard.
Just think! If you are starting or an experienced Ukulele player and register for this January you too could be on stage next year!
