Front of House Volunteer

Silver Threads Service is looking for a volunteer to help welcome our members, participants and interested community members as they come into our new Victoria Centre on 1911 Quadra St.

Duties include: Assisting with the front of house, including welcoming and helping persons above to access information about our classes, services and programs. Also includes managing our library and puzzle lending area, arranging centre tours, assisting with the Foodshare program, and supporting staff as needed.
A Police Information Check is required.

Days: Mondays or Thursdays (morning or afternoon shift)

Time: 9:30pm—12:30pm; 12:15-2:15

Location: Victoria Centre, 1911 Quadra St.

Volunteer Crafts Project Lead

Silver Threads Service is looking for a volunteer to help connect Silver Threads program participants, mainly knitters and crochet crafters at this time, with meaningful projects in the community.

Duties include: Liaison with Silver Threads staff, community groups and our “Random Crafts of Kindness” participants. Contact other non-profits to assess need and research creative ideas to use as group craft projects throughout the year. A Police Information Check is required.

Days: Thursdays

Time: 9:30pm—12:30pm
